Hello, fellow deviant. Happy Yellow Day. <3
I bet you've hard about everything that's going on at the moment. And so this is my little tribute to deviantART, to the community, and, most importantly, to °jark.
In the name of community ([link]) I'd like to introduce myself.
My name is Clare, and I am a teenage girl from Scotland, UK. My arts are craft (I am a jeweller and a textile artist), writing and photo manipulation. My favourite band is Rammstein and I am very much into metal and industrial music. When I leave school, my current ambition is to study design at an art school, and perhaps become a full-time fashion designer. Naturally, I have a very good eye for telling what looks good on people, and I can match colours quite easily. I am very fond of contrast, minimalism and seperating warm / cold colour schemes. I am quite traditional in my clothing designs, and draw a lot from historical clothing.
In my spare time, I also C&C art. I mostly work with anime or manga artists, as this is my area of expertise (but I don't draw it!). I have been an anime and manga fan for four or five years now, and I am part of a local anime club - the GA (Glasgow Anime). We just got t-shirts printed and everything.
My favourite colours are red and black and my favourite subjects in school are Computing and Modern Studies (or Sociology, as you may know it). I like sunshine during the summer and snow during the winter... Although last winter I suffered a block of compressed ice to the eye... Boy, that wasn't fun! I like to sing, although I don't have the talent or lung capacity to join a choir or take singing lessons. I play violin, and I play in a youth orchestra around these parts... Although I am not very good! I find it very difficult to remember important things like key signature and scales... BUT, I can keep a beat (with extreme difficulty and a LOT of counting outloud), and so I'd like to play percussion.
